Starring Sal Mineo, Jerome Courtland, Philip Carey, Rafael Campos, Joy Page, Britt Lomond, H. Foster, based on the book Comanche by David Appel.
Here is a list of the items included in this nostalgic and rare collection of original Disney materials. Original 20 page Disney pressbook with full color cover.
There is about 2 inches of separation at the spine of the cover only on the bottom, at the top about 1/2 inch but it has a small 1/2 inch tear, hard to see unless you are looking. There appears to be a moisture area, on the bottom right (or bottom left if you are looking at the left side page with the pressbook open). In that area are only the page numbers.
I don't see one page where it hurts anything else. It's just a slight bit wavy, and would be about an inch.
Issue, as you can see by the photos it it isn't even picked up on the scans. The rest of the pressbook is in excellent condition.
We are always honest about our listings and I would personally be fine with this for the reason it doesn't affect any of the printed material and you have to look for it to notice it. There are many pages of great publicity stories and pages and pages of beautiful advertising.
Comic book printed by Dell Comics for Disney which in comic form tells the story of the film. I don't know how they rate comic books but it looks to be in better than fair condition. The cover's spine has separated quite a bit but not all.
Way up (only the cover spine is affected). The pages have yellowed some. On the back cover, someone wrote the word "Zorro" in a blank space near the center There is a small. Missing on the back page about 1/2 inch by 1 inch on the left side of the page.
It does not affect the print. This certainly is not a comic book for a collector looking for the book to be of any high value.
It's nice, though, to be able to read the comic that Disney put together. There isn't any damage to any part of a page that has the comic on it.
(see photo #10 and photo #1 with the green cover, that is the comic book). This is the most sought after of any lobby card set, the title card (see photo 12, that is the Lobby title card). Original Disney presskit labeled Buena Vista film distribution Co. This is a very rare item.
It has separated at the spine 3/4 of the way down (just the front and back cover) and there is a tear that goes from the left edge inward about 4 inches. Photo 8 is a scan of the cover of the presskit but the tear does not show up, because when pressed down it matches perfectly so one could just tape it from the back side and it would then be very hard to see.
There is some wear on the right side as well, that you can see in the photo. The back page is solid white and has a few tears at the edge of the page going inward, one is 1/2 inch the other maybe 3/4 of an inch. The presskit opens up and has a folder on each side. Inside those are a handbook of production information, 24 pages and in near mint condition. It can be seen in photo number 9 on the right side with a yellow/orange cover. Print is on one side of each page not both sides. Also included are 4 beautiful stills which measure 10" x 13", all are in very good condition. Photo #11 shows 3 of them. HALF SHEET POSTER, an original 22" x 28" poster for Tonka as shown in the pressbook, see picture number one on the upper left side.
It is in very good condition, a few small issues (please study the photos of all of these items). The poster has previously been folded. MOST SCANS SHOW 2 FULL PAGES. EVERYTHING WE SELL IS 100% AUTHENTIC STUDIO PRODUCED, NOTHING IS COPIED. (see first photo image and the last photo)!
This poster is NOT a copy or reproduction but a studio original. The pressbook in all of our auctions is the main item because that is my specialty. We guarantee that the photo posted here is a direct photo of the poster included (the poster image can be enlarged). Some posters have some kind of defect whether it might be pinholes or writing on the back, blemishes, tears, creases, taped areas, an area with a rippled effect (probably from dampness, which can usually be seen on the scans, but not always) so please look very carefully as most of these have been used by theaters. On the other hand as I continue to look through these, some are in great condition and a few look like they were never used. So it is up to you to study the photo. All posters have been folded.
This was the way they were originally sent to the theaters. These posters are included AS IS! PRESSBOOK NUMBER OF PAGES: 12 SIZE: 12" X 18" YEAR: 1959 ORIGINAL RELEASE. NORMALLY IT IS MUCH SOONER AS YOU CAN SEE BY MY FEEDBACK (100% POSITIVE) BUT DUE TO MY DISABILITY, IT CAN HAPPEN. PLEASE VISIT MY STORE TO SHOP IN CATEGORIES, DECADES OR INTERESTS.
Please note that all of our pressbook images are. Scans allow you to see every detail, which is why we chose to scan our images rather than photograph them. This collection has been of the utmost importance to me and has been stored in a temperature controlled room for many years in non-smoking home storage with 2 Hepa air filters and in the summer 2 industrial dehumidifiers, inside a protective bag. When scanning pressbooks, almost all of the images inside were printed to be newspaper ready.
Newspapers use a larger dot (lower resolution) image to make up a photo or advertisement, so while scanning them for viewing here, some images look like there may be light lines or dark areas on faces and other parts of an image, please note this is a result of scanning, the actual images do not have that effect. So to prevent this illegal activity, we are forced to put some print over some of the better images, they are not on the items themselves. It also includes a plastic collectible sealed bag which you can use to store your pressbook. If you order more than one pressbook, each will come with the protective bag. This is my personal pledge to all of my customers, My goal is for you to be very happy in the end.ABOUT ME: I have been a movie fan all of my life, my grandfather worked for both Universal and RKO, and my mother was an editor at Paramount. At age 8 I was taken to my grandfather's offices and saw piles of movie pressbooks stacked up.
I have collected since I was 8. Over the years, when I obtained a pressbook, it would immediately go into a plastic bag and was taped shut so no air could enter.
This was after I unfolded them, if they were folded. I do love talking about movies. Please don't hesitate to message me.
