The poster was professionally backed and displays very well. Linen border is one to two inches outside poster border.

NOTE that this 25-minute cartoon was originally one of the episodes contained in Walt Disney's 1948 feature movie, "Melody Time", which was a compilation of seven short cartoons. Each of those cartoons were later released individually to theaters. It is believed that "Pecos Bill" was first released INDIVIDUALLY to theaters in 1954, so even if "R1954" appears on the paper, technically the poster is a 1954 first release, because the cartoon short had never been released before in history by itself. Directed by Clyde Geronimi, Produced by WALT DISNEY.

The life of the legendary Texas cowboy with his horse, Widowmaker, and how his romance with Slue Foot Sue disrupted it. Roy Rogers and the Sons of the Pioneers tell the story of Pecos Bill, an infant who fell out of a covered wagon and was discovered and raised by a family of coyotes. His relationship with the coyotes teaches him survival and, as a result, grows up to become a he-man of the American Desert earning the friendship of a horse named Widowmaker after rescuing him from a flock of buzzards. However, the relationship between man and horse is threatened when Pecos falls in love with a dame named Slue Foot Sue.

They plan to wed but the marriage is threatened when Pecos offers Sue a ride on Widowmaker. Originally released as a segment in the anthology feature film MELODY TIME (1948).

VOICE CAST includes Roy Rogers, Bob Nolan, Bobby Driscoll, Luana Patten, Sons of the Pioneers, Trigger.
