So let's go by the facts. They played "Pinocchio" at the Center Theater (instead of RKO) and gave each patron a program that included 4 lithographs from the show. It wasn't a big hit and didn't really become one until later. Many people threw the programs away.

I have looked everywhere on the internet and Christies and Southebys. Ok, so now we look at value. N 1940, Disney made its second and third cartoon features, Fantasia. " and "Pinocchio, and they are generally considered to this day to be the best of all the studio's animated films. Things of lesser historic significance are worth thousands.

Not many of these available, they are in collectors hands and will remain so. This isn't just the Lithos but also the original program and envelope! This exquisite set was made in very limited numbers for the film's New York City premiere on Feb.

7, 1940, at the Center Theatre. The theatre was located at 1230 Sixth Avenue, the southeast corner of West 49th Street in Rockefeller Center. Seating 3500, it was originally designed as a movie palace in 1932 and later achieved fame as a showcase for live musical ice-skating spectacles, premiering with Sonja Henie's show later in 1940. It was demolished in 1954, the only building in the original Rockefeller Center complex to have been torn down. The theatre and outside marquee was decorated with enormous and spectacular items of promotional art that eve for Disney's second animated feature.

This very special lot includes a rare Premier Info/Print Packet for the New York's Center Theatre debut of Pinocchio. Included is a four page " A Word About Walt Disney's Pinocchio" booklet (9" X 12"), and three great 10" X 8" Walt Disney Studio dye tra. Nsfer prints in a Courvoisier-style ivory mat.

The prints and booklet are enclosed in a folder (13.5" X 15.5") that has a program printed on the inside pocket. 2.70 100.01 to 200. 3.40 200.01 to 300. 4.50 300.01 to 400.
