A RARELY SEEN WALT DISNEY "FANTASIA" GOLDFISH POTTERY BOWL # 121 BY VERNON KILNS MADE IN 1940. A HARD TO FIND DISNEY COMMISSIONED "FANTASIA" VERNON KILNS GLAZED PORCELAIN GOLDFISH BOWL IN SEA FOAM GREEN STYLE. THIS WAS INSPIRED BY THE "ARABIAN DANCE" SECTION OF TCHAIKOVSKY'S "NUTCRACKER SUITE", AND THE BEAUTIFUL GOLDFISH ARE IMMEDIATELY RECOGNIZABLE! VERNON KILNS WAS ONE OF WHAT IS CALLED THE "BIG FIVE" CALIFORNIA POTTERY COMPANIES.

THEY HAD A LICENSE FROM DISNEY TO PRODUCE FIGURINES FROM "FANTASIA", "DUMBO", AND "THE RELUCTANT DRAGON", AND ART WARE FROM "FANTASIA" FROM 1940 - 41. THIS IS ONE OF THOSE "ART WARE" PIECES.

THE GLAZED POTTRY GOLDFISH BOWL MEASURES 6 X 6. A BEAUTIFUL AND WHIMSICAL AND RARE PIECE OF "FANTASIA" DISNEYANA COLLECTIBLES! I started collecting NEW and VINTAGE ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTERS especially GONE WITH THE WIND, STAR WARS, SPIELBERG, DISNEY, ACADEMY AWARD WINNERS, BATMAN, LORD OF THE RINGS, CULT, CAMP, TRASH, ETC!!! At the age of 27 in 1976 when I lived in NYC. Needless to say, it is a diverse and eclectic collection of over 650 POSTERS.

I also collected ANIMATION ART, specifically ORIGINAL DISNEY HAND PAINTED PRODUCTION BACKGROUND PAINTINGS that went under camera in the filming of Disney movies. The Movie Poster and Animation Art I will present will be interesting, diverse, original and in many cases a rare opportunity for any "collector". Yes, some are Museum quality pieces.
