From my personal collection for your consideration: the very scarce original 1956 (R-56) release lobby card number 4 from Disney's Song of the South (1946). DESCRIPTION/CONDITION: The 11 x 14 (27.94 x 35.56 cm) original 1956 release (R-56) number 4 card still has its vibrant colors and has all of its authenticating markings. It shows Brer Fox and a trussed up but amused Brer Rabbit (Brer Fox prepares to cook a rabbit stew, but Brer Rabbit is cooking up a scheme of his own) and is in (conservatively) Very Good+ condition, especially for a 63-year-old temporary (at the time) movie theater advertising or promotion piece.
There are no pin holes or staple marks. There are a few, small very light ripples primarily in the upper left third of the card and are really only obvious if you run your hand over the card or look at it under a strong light. There is a very light, shallow crease in the lower right corner and a tiny area of rough edge just below the upper left corner. The borders exhibit some very light age toning and there is reinforcing tape on its back. The tape appears to be preventative in nature rather than for repairs. Please see the composite photo showing both the front and back of the card.
PLEASE NOTE: The focus --- and especially that of the lettering/text --- is slightly soft in the photos. It is clean and crisp on the actual card, as is the image. Feel free to write with any questions or for additional photos. The item "VERY SCARCE R-56 ORIGINAL LOBBY CARD NO.
