SCREEN USED VINTAGE ROCKETMAN COSTUME. ONE-OF-A-KIND PIECE OF DISNEY HISTORY. Please read this description carefully as this is a very unique item that will likely never go up for sale again! This is a screen used costume featured in the 2015 film Tomorrowland by Disney AND prominently displayed in a display case in Disneyland's Tomorrowland attraction.

It comes with a Hand Signed Certificate of Authenticity which includes photos and details clearly identifying the item. Document is provided by a currently employed highly reputable artist in the special effects industry who acquired the item directly from the wardrobe department.

This is not a replica, not a reproduction but the ACTUAL PIECE from both the film and Disney Park. Walt Disney started his empire with imagination and animated whimsy, but he left behind something so much greater: an optimistic vision of a future where book smarts and wits allow us to make the Earth a little better than we found it. Brad Bird paid tribute to this in the film. In theme parks with the Tomorrowland attraction it was Walt Disney's goal to show the world what wonders awaited it in an enlightened, advanced time.

Known for his forward thinking, as well as fantastical ideas of the next advances in humankind, Walt Disney used every platform he could to taut his vision of tomorrow, with every Disney theme park following suit and developing its own showcase of better living through scientific achievement. What better hope for the future than the idea that every man and woman could soar through the skies with a rocket-powered suit! While an actual rocket-powered suit for the general public may not be practical or ever come to exist in our lifetime it is important to keep our eyes on the skies and towards the future with hope and optimism. For me this suit allowed me to do just that.

Although I never wore the suit, just looking at it allowed me to endure some extremely troubled times and escape to a world of fantasy. Whether you wear it yourself or display it I hope it will bring you joy and remind you of happy times. This "Rocket Man" costume is screen used in the film.

And was publicly displayed in a showcase at Disney's Tomorrowland making it an extremely iconic piece. It has a great number of unique characteristics that make it a one-of-a-kind piece including velcro tear-away sections on the front and back of the costume, holes for a Jetpack on the back.

It is constructed of an intricate combination of rubber and cloth and has an overall sturdy construction and heavy weight (approximately 15 pounds). The display case photo is only shown as a reference for where it was originally displayed.

It does not in any way allow you to fly and in fact due to its heavy weight could easily cause you to fall should you attempt to put it on. It is not my size and I have never attempted to wear it.

It is very rigid to the point where it almost stands on its own. I can imagine it is likely difficult and uncomfortable to wear. I take no responsibility should you try to put it on and damage it or yourself.

It does seem to be designed with tear away velcro sections so that a person or mannequin can be inserted inside. Currently I have it hanging on a large sturdy hanger and the weight is supported by my door, making it appear to be hovering off the ground. I will include the heavy hanger so that you can display it the same way although I think a mannequin would more closely match the way it was intended to be displayed. I have done my due diligence to confirm that this piece was authorized for disposal so no problems will arise from its sale or transfer. Costume does "tear" apart on the chest with velcro and on the inside there are some frayed edges on the inside as well as writting and notes but when correctly assembled no frays or text is visible. Overall excellent shape but some light overall wear on the exterior. I will reply as promptly as possible. For this item in particular due to size and weight I recommend a direct pick-up.

Please pay for item first and make arrangements with me to meet within 3 days of sale. S hipping is calculated based on location. Hi, I'm Lisa, White Bunny Toys. As a collector myself I understand the importance of items arriving in the condition promised, packaged securely.
