Star Wars Unfinished Protocol Droid Hand. The production made protocol droid unfinished hand is a test hand for Episode 1 The Phantom Menace. The hand is a hollow casting made out of rubber material to allow the best flexibility. After taking a closer look at the hand it does appear to have all the details from the wrinkles from the vacuum metalizing, residue marks from where the fingers rings use to be, marks from where the knuckle bolts and pistons, the cut line in the middle of the palm with stitches, and appears to have the weathering from the original paint casted into it (possibly a C-3PO hand). The hand was on display at the Celebration V Propstore exhibit. I added some photos of it displayed at their booth. NOTE: The hand does show flaws such as torn areas of the rubber on the fingers from the hollow casting process and some areas are missing on the rubber material around the fingers.
