Very rare Disney licensing style guide for the Tim Burton classic The NightmareBefore Christmas. This item is exceptional: near mint condition and complete-192 pages including the pop-up introduction. Style guides are created before the completion of a movie, and so many of the images contained in this item are from the original Tim Burton concept drawings for the film. Photos of the original puppet film sets are also printed as reference for licensees. The original and only owner of this guide personally presented this concept to Tim Burton himself for approval. Burton enthusiastically approved the idea of a coffin for the style guide, which was extremely unique among licensing guides in 1993, and is even more rare now as guides are often only digitally produced. The one and only owner of this item was the Disney designer of The Nightmare BeforeChristmas guide and logo. The guide is 192 pages with 7 sections: Introduction (w/ pop-up art), Film Reference, Product Concepts, Design Elements, Character Art, and Situation Art. There are 84 pages of high quality line art (one image per page) originally intended to be reproducible character art by licensees, now it would make for suitable framed art in any Tim Burton collection. This may be the finest, most complete and preserved Nightmare guide available to collectors. A must have rare find for any Nightmare fan or collector.
